Hurricane Matthew PSA4: Miami flights cancelled for Oct. 6, 2016

Ground handling operations at the Miami International Airport (MIA) will be suspended as of noon today as weather conditions are forecasted to deteriorate this afternoon due to Hurricane Matthew. As a result, Cayman Airways has cancelled flights KX104, KX105, KX106 and KX107 between Grand Cayman and Miami for today.

All flights for tomorrow, Friday October 7, 2016, are currently scheduled to operate, but this will be dependent on the operational status of MIA tomorrow. Accordingly, Cayman Airways is continuing to monitor the situation at the MIA and will provide further updates if and when any changes to tomorrow’s operations become necessary.

Cayman Airways is continuing to waive change fees for passengers who wish to alter their ticketed reservations made on or before October 4, 2016 for travel to and from Miami, Florida between Wednesday October 5, 2016 and Saturday October 8, 2016.. Only one waiver of the change fee is allowed within the validity of the ticket purchased. Refunds are not allowed on non-refundable tickets.
